We’ve added two new ways to work with your data in AppSignal: Dataset Exporting and Graph Data Exporting. These features make it easier to analyze and share insights, whether you’re debugging, reporting, or collaborating with your team.
What Data Can You Export from AppSignal?
Data Type | Page/Feature | Export Formats |
---|---|---|
Exceptions | Exception Incidents | CSV |
Exception Incident Samples | CSV | |
Performance | Performance Incidents | CSV |
Performance Incident Samples | CSV | |
Performance Actions | CSV | |
Graphs | Graph Data | PNG, JSON, CSV |
All the graph exports will be available immediately. The dataset exports will be created in the background and made available in a new Exports page in your organization overview.
Analyze and Share Insights Easily with Datasets
Over time, many of our users have shared specific use cases where exporting data would be helpful, including when:
- Debugging complex issues by downloading raw data to investigate patterns and causes.
- Comparing historical trends for SLA reporting or other analysis.
- Collaborating by sharing exported data with colleagues for further discussion.
- Using custom reporting to build tailored reports for your organization with exported datasets.
It is important to note that AppSignal has a few in-product features covering some of these use cases, such as:
- A search to find and filter incidents for a specific tag.
- Chart lines you can toggle on and off and a zoom feature to get a closer look at data.
- A samples filter to break down incident occurrences and find the sample you need.
- An error attributes view to see a breakdown of error attributes such as hostname, revision, country, browser, etc.
